i got told that when the club shaft is running parallel with the ground, the grip end should be facing ur target but here it looks like its more inverted if that makes sense. I'm new to golf and trying to work out a good takeaway

That's my actual "swing". With the stops. Not kidding. Occasional weekend player. 20 handicap. I'm not Tiger, but I'm in the fairway all day. You DONT need a fluid swing. Lots of pros used this as a practice swing - thousands and thousands of reps. I can shift to a fluid swing on the fly, but ... this works better, for now.

no point in demonstrating a backswing unless it's part of an actual shot. Because momentum affects the shaft and body position and odds are won't look like the fake demo version.
