I actually went through something similar at a grocery store. I was with my 80 year old grandpa (he passed in 2019) and he was starting to not understand words in English and was forgetting how to speak it too so we spoke only Spanish to him. He was in his wheelchair and I was talking to him in Spanish and some lady did the exact same thing except she didn't say she hated Mexicans. She got loud with me and I got loud back. Then she kind of got in my face and I told her to step back because it was my personal space. She pulled out her phone and called the local sheriff station and that's when I smirked at her and told her to give them my first and last name and to add my grandpa's name in there as well. She did. We're waiting at the front of the store and my grandpa is just quiet and I explained to him what was going on because he was confused. 2 sheriff's walk in and the lady starts going off about how I got in her face. I didn't because I'm not about to get in trouble like that. One of the officers just looks at her and is clearly upset. He bends down in front of my grandpa and asked in Spanish... "Dad are you ok? What happened?" 😏. My uncle is a sheriff. We live in a smaller area. Needless to say that woman felt hella stupid because the security footage showed her stepping into MY face. 😂😂 Haven't seen her since.

A racist comment to Mexicans at Disney world in Florida would not surprise me but this is in Orange County California where a there is a huge Hispanic population that includes many Disneyland staff. Also, I love Eva Ramirez’s reasoning for speaking up to teach her kid that it’s not okay to tolerate that type of behavior.

Not only does America have no official language, but portions of the USA used to be Mexico and many people of Mexican heritage still live there and speak Spanish. I would also hazard a guess that the obviously racist woman being filmed has no qualms about German being spoken during Oktoberfest celebrations.

What too many Americans don't understand is that Spanish-speaking Puerto Ricans are US citizens, so using Spanish on US soil shouldn't come as a shock. Now, if Puerto Ricans, again US citizens, can speak their native language, why would we deny that of any other Spanish-speaking resident? I hear all sorts of languages in my neighborhood - Italian, various African languages, Arabic, and Spanish. I think all these languages adds some much needed spice.
