RACIST RANT: Woman charged with ethnic intimidation after rant at pizzeria

A woman is now facing charges after a racist rant last week at Amy's Pizzeria in Hatboro, Pennsylvania.

The woman in the video, who police have identified as Rita Bellew, 55, has since been charged with ethnic intimidation and harassment.

Thats a good man. It can't be easy to have someone insult you and your heritage and refrain from stooping to their level. I really hope that their business flourishes and she can live knowing that you and your employees are more successful than she ever will be. Hatred is such an ugly thing.

I was on vacation and was in the same kind of situation. I don't know what went through me, but I instinctively without thinking got between the crazy person and her victim. I figure these people are probably conceal carrying and could really lose it on someone. Well, I pretended to be all friendly so I could walk to her car and get all her vehicle info without her knowing it. I memorized her license plate. She left the restaurant and I immediately called the cops before I forgot the plate #. What happened a few months later is I ended up getting subpoenaed by the county court and having to travel 100's of miles to testify against her. At least the county paid for my expenses and time. Turns out this woman really was psycho and had tried to slit her husband's throat, beat on him, and almost killed her children, etc etc.

When I got to the courthouse FOUR police officers met me at the door. I thought they were there to make sure I didnt leave so I told them, "I'm not going anywhere, you guys don't need to be here." And they replied, "Ma'am we are here for your protection." I said, "FOUR OF YOU?? What's going on? She's just a Karen." They responded, "No ma'am. She's way more than that."

Well, when I walked into court, it was a large room and it was FULL! It was like something out of Perry Mason!!! And when I was testifying, the lady kept making cow mooing noises at me and sticking her tongue out. One time she acted like she was going to lunge over the table at me. Of course that was impossible bc of all the cops standing next to her, but it scared me anyway. It was crazy. Judge kept saying to me, "Don't look at her, just ignore her. You're doing fine."

As it turns out, I was told by the husband's family that they had been trying to get the courts to believe she was dangerous and abusing her husband but no one would believe them. Apparently husband abuse isn't taken seriously. The family told me that the only reason the county ended up doing an investigation was because of my report of her behavior that day in the restaurant. She got sent down, and her husband and kids placed in an undisclosed safe place.

So sheesh everyone, DO get involved! Do film stuff and DO report these crazies. People who have the guts to be this brazen and act like this really ARE psychopaths and you have no idea what's in their head or what they are doing to others elsewhere. These people are not just "Karens, " to be laughed at, bc it really does take an abherent mind to behave like this. These people are dangerous. And it's OK to intervene. You MUST intervene. Some child is probably depending on you.
