Why not qualify "in history" with the very relevant fact that what you're talking about is recorded history. There's an enormous distinction between earliest hurricane in 100 years vs earliest hurricane in human civilization, let alone the earth in its current continental orientation. I actually believe climate change is a thing, but this feels like an intentional omission intended to drive a narrative.
