I have a homeless encampment down the street 2 blocks and around the corner that they have not managed to clear out permanently. these people vandalized and broke into an apt. building across the street (which is now vacated as far as I know) and if you continue down Silverlake Blvd. toward the 101 freeway, there are 3-4 more bigger homeless encampments. Some where homeless people have built little shacks out of lumber they have stolen or found, built on the sidewalks and kids who live in Silverlake, go to school right there on Virgil and Silverlake have to walk through these sketchy encampments where they may be cooking up Meth or mentally ill people bugging out, doing hard drugs / drug dealers etc. They need treatment but get none. It's been this way the whole time since the pandemic to now. We've written & called city council and they do little to nothing and never clear these homeless encampments for more than a week or 2. Meanwhile, we pay crazy rent and taxes. This guy is the worst Governor ever...L.A. Mayor is the worst.... they talk alot and do little meaningful action and we still have the same problems for several years now... ineffective and full of crap.
