I don't support nor voted for Newsom. But comparing his response to the Federal Government is like night and day. I feel like I actually know more instead of less after hearing from him. After reading reports coming out of Italy I feel these measures are completely appropriate. Hopefully this can all be implemented quickly. This is a real test for California.

What about the Indian and California casinos, Governor? Guests coming in of unknown status, eating at buffets where serving spoons are shared among multiple guests, slot machines where guests, one after the other, touch the same buttons, eat and drink while at the slot machines, and then move to the next machine, replaced at the first machine by a new guest. Those machines are not disinfected between guests. What about the card tables where dealers pass cards and chips to guests whose health status is not known? Those same cards are then passed back to the dealer, as are the chips, which may then be passed to a second or thirtieth guest, unless those chips are taken to a cashier where a cashier then handles the chips, which will then be returned to the bank then re-issued, again without being disinfected. And how thoroughly are the hotel rooms at these casinos cleaned, from one guest to the next. Further, there are a number of workers at these facilities who are seniors themselves...and many of them still live hand to mouth. If they follow your guidelines and self isolate, are they going to lose their jobs? Not get paid? Not be able to pay the rent and then be evicted? There are multiple other issues involving casinos not mentioned...I would submit that casinos could very quickly, and may already have become loci of infection with almost no mitigation. This particular issue needs to be addressed immediately, and I am surprised that you did not include it in this address...

What a great speaker and I appreciate the efforts to protect. I appreciate the care for the most vulnerable, elderly, homeless and children. The reporters could have done a better job though. not one asked about the plan or response of the mass overbuying and hoarding and panic that is statewide and beyond.
