I applaud your ability to describe each one in a relatively different way, despite them all having very similar issues: pilots are nervous because the approaches are harrowing and the runways are really short. Some of these airports are more like landing strips where the pilot and the plane’s instruments are the only guidance.

I’ve been at Svalbard several times. The last shot of Svalbard Airport at 8:37, is wrong. This can’t be Svalbard Airport, there are no trees at Svalbard… Due to the extreme cold environment.

I landed many times at Kai Tak Hong-Kong. Used to enjoy it so much that I always requested a right side window seat. Excitement guaranteed 😂 Truly missing it now.

1:20 whoever wrote this acts like it’s for a Boeing 777 . Absolutely not. Small fixed wing air craft only. It’s a short runway for a 747. It’s quite a large one for helicopters haha the mountainous region that’s a fair point though

Wrangell International Airport, Wrangell, Alaska has a 6, 000 ft runway nestled between a hill and the Stikine River delta on the northern end and a mountain and narrow channel on the southern end with a little island, Deadman's Island in the channel. Alaska Airlines flys a 737 into Wrangell twice a day.

I landed in Kai Tak Airport in 1989 on Cathay Pacific, and it was the scariest landing I've ever experienced with some serious g-forces -- at NIGHT, no less. The curves and turns were violent. I was saying my prayers.
