This is the best video I’ve seen on how to take your saw apart with minimal tools. Anybody can fix something when you’re in a shop with $1 million worth of tools, bright lights and nice tables to work on.

The most work ever completed with a sqwrench! Excellent job!

I have to say. Good video of cleaning and inspection of your saw, which is similar to what I do at the end of the year. The video started looking like there was problem starting it though, and I didn’t see any steps related to improve starting issues. I thought he was going to take the carb apart, but didn’t. Coil gap and spark wasn’t checked, exhaust and spark arrestor weren’t checked etc… but a nice cleaning job nonetheless.

Nice cleaning of the saw. Did you check for vacuum and compression leaks, the carb might need rebuilt, the spark arrestor screen might need cleaning and more stuff I would look into.

Great stuff to actually do it and not just talk about it. Curious, I suspect a bad coil/magneto as I get no spark, and tried different plug. Testing??
