Who do you want to win the 2021 Canadian Election?

As a young person and a potential first time home buyer, home ownership is VERY important to me & up until recently it looked like a possibility, but in the last year- year & half I have really been discourage by what has happened it the market. I usually vote liberal, but this year I really dont know. Their Housing Platforms will play a big part in my decision. This video was really helpful,

If the vacant home tax isn’t persuading people to either rent their unit or sell it (when they’re literally not using it) it just tells me that the tax isn’t high enough. Keep doubling it every year until those units fill, it doesn’t even affect citizens.

I think Erin O’Toole has they best experience to run a country. He is educated, a lawyer, served in the military so is disciplined, has integrity and is listening to Canadians.

Housing issue is controlled mostly by municipalities The permit fees are way to high and staff do not want to work A municipality employee will spend an hour telling you how the system works and how your application will be turned down Zero encouragement to develop anything

i mean the ndp plan isn’t great, the other parties have plans that will take much less time and will build double the property’s. i was going to vote ndp but at leaning toward conservatives now

Really need tight regulations on how these markets get manipulate. From corps or other investors treating it like a pump and dump investment.

The 20% foreign buyers tax is a joke. Ask any drug dealer if 20% is a good deal to launder money.

The landscape for real estate has changed forever so affordable housing is a Fantasy.
