So my theory on why the 5.3L didn't gain as much as the 4.8L with the FAST intake... despite it "only" being .5L larger in displacement - the same cam was used for both. I feel like if the next cam up in the catalog was used - the gain would have been similar. (24ish)

Again, just a theory... until something like that is done on the dyno back to back - just spit-balling.

Hey I’m replacing the headgaskets on my 5.3 vortec and was wondering if I should use arp headstuds instead of the torque to yield hardware? It seems like the arp will just be more sturdy and they aren’t that expensive.

We need to test with a control and an open mind lol if I had a dollar for every time I thought I knew the right answer…. My project woulda been done a few years back lol
