Believe it or not...other than you, my dad was the only person I’ve ever heard call a double patty hamburger a “double decker”. He passed away close to 6 years ago but that comment just brought me to tears of joy after being flooded with a wave of emotion thinking about him. Great video my man.

Toast your buns prior to making the burgers. Set the buns on top of the onions after you flip the burger and before you add the cheese. It's will slightly steam the bun infused with the beef fat and the onions. Just adds another level of flavor.

If you cook the onions separately you can cook them to your perfection and get a proper crust on burger 👍
