comedy aside, you my friend give a good explanation of how things work so we can understand too... not many people bother to do that, they just describe their own creations as it's ''magic''...
we need more of your content... thank you for what you're doing...

Honestly this has a ton of value for folks, no guesswork required, just buy the list, build the thing, everyone saves money, you make a little money, everyone wins.
That's what you call an alignment of incentives right there.

SLA batteries really only deliver about half of their rated watt-hours before the voltage drops too low to power typical devices. Discharge them further than 50% of their rated capacity and you risk permanent damage. So, that 96wh battery will really only run a 50w load for about 1 hour. The LFP battery you bought would run the same light for nearly 7 hours, so it's essentially 7 times as much battery.

I literally just got back from the store getting some fasteners to build the other ammo box power bank from your other video! Dead serious, thank you for your videos, I’ve learned a lot and you e inspired me to be more self sufficient. On prime day I also bought everything for the solar rolling tool box too, gonna try that next! You’re a good teacher and I like your videos!

I love how you correct yourself. It makes me know you're a humble person who's honest and makes me feel like all your info is as accurate as can be. I know it takes extra work to do that, so thanks!

I built something similar to this a while back. I did use a .50 cal ammo can and i was able to fit 4 of those little 96Wh AGM lead acid batteries in there by turning them vertical. Wired all 4 in parallel. Then i got a 300W inverter and i really didnt have a whole lot of room for it, but i was able to take the inverter apart and used some double sided tape to secure the bare circuit board to the side of the ammo can. I also dremeled out a hole and installed an actual wall outlet into the side of the can with one of those outdoor outlet covers to keep water out of it and cut and attached the wires straight from the inverter board to the outlet terminals. I pulled the on/off switch and digital voltage display from the inverter housing and attached them straight to the side of the can as well. i didnt even need to extend the wires any! To top it all off i found a cheap AGM battery charger and wired it up with a standard 110V female plug out the side of the can. Outlet out the left side and the power switch, voltage display, and female power port on the right side also under a outdoor outlet cover. No solar capabilities though, You charge it up by using a standard power cable and plug it into a outlet. Its great to throw in the back of the old tractor for needing to run some lights or a drill out in the middle of nowhere.

Pro Tip: Use industrial velcro on the bottom of the battery and it won't move around but you can still change out the battery when you need to. Amazon has a great price on the velcro.

I'm not a fisherman, but I absolutely love the "n stuff" videos! Always learning something cool and useful

After many days of shopping online and trying to find the most affordable solution for a portable solar powered battery for emergency use, your video has saved me. I can't wait to watch more and to start building and saving money.

The most impressive thing about this video is that you somehow made “kayak” into a one-syllable word.

I love this guy, I love this channel, and I love how well he explains stuff in laymen's terms.

I just bought the new Jackery explorer 1000 V2. I set it up inside a Milwaukee Packout cabinet in my Packout stack. Now I have portable job site power without the noise pollution. The specs say it can maintain 1500w and peak at 3000W. I also packed a WeBoost cell booster in there for better hotspot coverage in an emergency. The new 200w solar panel design is bi-facial and grabs some of the reflected sunlight off the ground. I was pulling 160W without having the perfect angle.

Built the smaller ammo can (green plastic) one 3 years ago and still use it. The one change I used the little control strip with the on off on it, but still un plug the battery when it is stored. Great tips. Now yep going to have to build this one.

I like this one better than the 1st one you built! I love Lithium batteries. My shed is all solar and it runs my lights and keeps all my batteries topped off for my hand tools including my 80V battery for my lawn mower (bad back, thank you US. Navy) and my limb cutter(which is easier to use than my manual one bc of my back) even though it's a little heavier. OK, blah, blah, blah!!! I figured your wife did your videos! She's real smart! 😂😂😂😂😂❤😂😂😂😂😂

I really need to build one of these for when I go full off grid camping and do a lot of bank fishing at night for a couple of days. I have been wanting to build the green light hack with pool noodles, and this version would be an absolute perfect addition to it.

I have made 3 solar ammo cans so far. Though, I put a switch between the battery and the solar charge controller so I can turn them off when they are not in use. I also 3D printed plates for the 2 pin connectors that shows which one is solar in and 12 volt in/out and shows the polarity of the connector.

I LOVE your videos and your sense of humor. You don't use a lot of technical jargon and you explain what you're doing so someone like me who doesn't know this stuff can do it. THANK YOU. I"m saving to build the power boxes you have. Keep em coming! Love the fishing lure jokes too!
