Making this CHOCOLATE popping boba was harder than I thought!

✨Recipe:
Hot Chocolate Powdered Drink Mix
Sodium Alginate
Calcium Lactate
Water

Directions:
1. Mix two packs of your hot chocolate mix with roughly 2 cups of water..
2. Add 1/2 tbsp sodium alginate and blend together.
3. In a bowl, add 2 tbsp calcium lactate to 1 quart warm water.
4. Using a dropper, take your hot chocolate and place small amounts in a small rounded measuring spoon, then dip into calcium water mixture to release from spoon. Hot chocolate should clump immediately and slowly form into balls. Be careful not to stretch it out when releasing or it will stay that way!
5. After a few minutes, scoop boba up with a strainer and rinse twice in a bowl of cold water, and place in your serving bowl of choice.
6. When the bowl is full, serve and enjoy!! 😊

If you have a calcium based flavor (milk, yogurt, etc.) switch it so you have the sodium algernare in the water. Makes more stable boba in general, but works particularly well for flavors with calcium.
