Plato's "Allegory of the Cave" symbolizes the journey from ignorance to enlightenment. It portrays prisoners confined in a dark cave, perceiving only shadows on the wall. When one escapes, he sees the real world and gains knowledge. This allegory illustrates Plato's belief in the existence of a higher reality and the transformative power of philosophical enlightenment.

I didn’t know that it says that the prisoner escapes?? I thought it said at one point it had to be forced to look towards the fire and even dragged up to the “real world “.
