A dev log sounds super cool. Can't wait to see more!

I'll say that as an old-but-junior engineer I enjoy the VODs because it's the closest I can get to watching how a senior engineer works to "stalk" them and try to understand the *why* they do what they do (I work remotely). But I'd also love devlogs.

I too want to throw my cents in the hat saying I enjoy a VODs channel. In fact, I would have wanted to see the stream coding go live here quicker. I think I saw you working on some base 90 compression for the data to neovim the other day, but I could not stick around for the stream at the time. And as far as I have seen it has not made it onto this channel yet either. Leaving me to wonder for ever if you figured out the decoding in Lua or not.

If we can keep rawdogging the code streams inbetween the devlogs, that would honestly be my favourite. Or even the dev logs being sort of the pointers towards the coding so it would be easy to find the VOD on a particular topic. Feels like there is something there.

TBH I love the "old" content on this channel because I don't really have time for a full twitch steam but love seeing the coding content and find it really interesting.

Not opposed to a shorter style format but would be cool if the old content was available somewhere even if that's vods on twitch

I get this is to hit a wider audience but I must say I quite enjoyed this raw dog coding experience and seeing you banter with chat, would love to still have a "vod" style channel if this one becomes more condensed.

I love the idea of the condensed devlogs, but the long rawdogging is also really cool. I would happily watch both types of content

I can confidently say that your impact on the trajectory of my career in tech is genuinely out of this world. Going into my first full-time role I am constantly thinking about stuff I see in your vids 😮 keep it up mr swoleagen

love the idea of 5-10 minute focused topics!

The new video ideas sound really cool. I love a good project update!

Longer videos about planning any new projects, or on updating plans for your current projects would be cool too.

One of the things I respect about you is that even though you pretend to be a fan boy of some stuff, you are actually very nuanced. You have a wealth is real world experience that I've found helpful, which extends beyond coding and into what it means to be an engineer. And of course it's fun to watch you rant lol. But definitely keep doing that. Real advice about programming concepts, in the real world where things are almost never ideal, it's very valuable. Programming languages come and go but design skills are always relevant.
Good luck on this big change. I am subscribed and look forward to what you come up with!

I just wanted to add I'd love to see that kind of content. Seeing you work as a dev is something I've really wanted to see more of. I'm not usually able to see your twitch streams so Youtube is my only chance to see what you're working on. I love your channel where you do reaction videos but I'd love to see you actually programming and learn from that kind of content.

I like the content here, but it is very true that I find myself constantly needing to fast forward through the chat interactions. My ideal video would just be the full VODs with the chat interaction cut - but it would seem that I'm not in the majority.

I agree with this idea, we already have streams for that long-ass-form content

I loved the "VOD" channel but this idea sounds cool, looking forward it!

Between the moustache & mannerisms you remind me of Ben Stiller from Dodgeball but if he was like a genius programmer instead of a gym bro. But for real congrats on taking the leap! I really enjoy your streams man. I'm a web dev student and I throw your streams on while I work on school projects & it's helped a lot.

I know there have been a thousand basics videos on Vim/NeoVim, however it would be cool to see the intermediate/expert level 5-10 minute videos discussing vim configuration, keyboard combos and rationale, etc. I am lightly savvy with Vim and your videos have helped tremendously increase my skill set. Thank you and best of luck on your new endeavor. I retired a few years back and it was definitely culture shock.
