Impact Driver Showdown (12V Edition) Milwaukee vs DeWALT vs Hercules (Harbor Freight)

Impact Driver Showdown (12V Edition) - After Harbor Freight launched their line of 12V tools the number one request I've had is to see how well their 12V line of tools stacked up against Big Red, aka Milwaukee's V12 line of tools. And why not bring DeWALT along for the ride to see how they hold up as well. I put these 12V tiny titians through their paces in a series of test, some that you would normally use this sort of tool for and others just to see if they can even do it.

FYI, These tools are ONE WEEK OLD. Please stop with the "You should try it with the new Fuel line" That is NOT the newer version of this tool, it did NOT replace it. Its a more expensive line of tools. Telling me that I should have used that is like telling a truck reviewer that you're pissed your Ford F150 didn't beat the Ram 1500 and he should have compared the F350 Dually to the Ram 1500. Really? Can you stop and think about that for a moment BEFORE you paint a big sign on yourself that says "TRIGGERED FANBOY".

Hey Red ... Just a Shoutout Thank You for your wonderful videos. I am a middle aged woman who has been working a my local Harbor Freight for just over 4 months now. Your site was recommended by a co-worker when I asked too many questions about what their tools were specifically used for. Your videos have been a blessing to my knowledge of the tool world. I can not thank you enough for what you have taught me in just a short time.

Now when people ask me where to find items in our store, not only can I tell them where, but can recommend accessories and/or a different tool to get the job done. I have been complimented on my knowledge and its all because of you Red and your Den of Tools! Please keep up the great

PS - It’s time for a new backdrop behind the Bear. Growl!

First off, I just want to say thank you for all your videos. I really enjoyed this head-to-head test. I chose to go with the Milwaukee 12-volt platform a couple of years ago, and have never regretted that decision. Every Milwaukee 12-volt tool I own has performed flawlessly, and I beat the crap out of 'em. Once again, Thanks !

Great review. Was thinking about going to Harbor Freight to get 1 of these Hercules impact drills, since they have them on sale and was wondering how it stacked up against the top tier brands. This vid was very helpful.

I'm a 1st new home owner who just joined the union and got in the trades, everyone in my hall uses Milwaukee and we sometimes share batteries in a tight spot so I feel very comfortable with my Milwaukee m12 fuels to be a hybrid of work and home tool

New subscriber here. Very informative and entertaining. It helps with giving the consumer options and seeing the tools run. Unless you have th ability to go to a trade show and demo them before purchase your videos help with making the proper choice for the individual. Keep up the good work.

i use that milwaukee at work and i love that thing. a battery usually run all day and it's not too bad on the torque. i wouldn't trade my 20v tools for one but they're not a bad option.

I am a big fan of the 12v Milwaukee. It not only was able to drive in three inch screws to assemble the deck to place my shed on, it was also able to make a 3/8 hole into concrete to anchor a cover for my motorcycle easily.

Well shit Harbor Freight is sure seeming to step up to the plate. You almost have me convinced to trade out my dewalt drills for Hercules I own a small construction company and I see my dewalt get busted lost and worn out all the time. I sure would rather buy the cheap tools that still perform's so it don't hurt as bad. Thanks for the honest and non bias videos.

Great video as usual Bear. I love what they are doing with the Hercules line at HF. The 12v herc can clearly hold its own against the big names (and downright smash one of them). Looking forward to your next video.

Hey bear I've got a 30 year old craftsman 1/2 drill with a cord. It throws sparks pretty good lol I think brushes are shot!! Only use it a few time a year. Can brushes be bought. I'd hate to throw it away. Have used a 26" ship auger bit couple of times!! Hate to put a cordless through something like that!!

I have Bosch 12 volt. Sorry they weren’t included in the testing. I mostly use the drill and driver set for woodworking and light home use.

I replaced my ancient NiCad drill with the Bosch 12V kit of both a drill and driver. Works well for me driving deck screws and GRK fasteners. I purchased a spare set of (clone) batteries so I can swap out and recharge. Got teased about my "cute baby drill" but if I need more power break out one of my corded drills.
