It's great to see another video from you! You have a unique sensibility, personality, and way of presenting information that I enjoy. My impression is that you present information logically, showcasing visual beauty, and infuse your commentary with your own individual personality and sense of humor. You really stand out from other designers out there, even if you may sometimes overlap in the trends you are talking about! Thanks Vivien! BTW, I loved the idea of color drenching using two different tones of the same color; I had not seen that before and it looks so much more nuanced than just painting everything the same color!

Victorian Clutter is what I call it. We like to keep our "stuff" piled up around us. But guests still have to be able to get to the hall bathroom. 🤔 Let there be cupboards in my bookcases!

This is a fantastic video! You're the best designer on YouTube. And as somebody else said, your example photos are spectacularly illustrative of what you're saying. Bravo!❤

I added mixed metals to my home decore a few years back and they will have to pry them out of my cold dead hands before I change them out because I LOVE how it looks. Great video! And I love your interpretation on trends, SPOT on! Have a wonderful and healthy 2025!

I'm excited to see integrated seamless designs and the hidden spaces are dreamy. I'm happy about warm mid-tone wood and curves that aren't painted arches.

I have had several workers to come in our home and commented that they loved my home, it reminded them of their grandmothers house. I wasn’t sure how to take that, it seemed to be a compliment on our home, but then again left me feeling maybe I am old, outdated in my taste. I have surrounded myself with the comforts of pieces I inherited from my parents and grandparents. As it turns out, an interior designer friend told me that my style is called Grandmacore, which is actually making a big comeback. That did make me breathe a sigh of relief, but even when the trends change I will still be over here enjoying my great grand parents old fashioned furniture and art 😊❤ I enjoyed this video very much. Thank you!

I'm from Scandinavia and so sick of white walls, white ceilings, white and neutral everywhere and the whole minimalist thing, that it makes me kind of giddy to see walls painted in actual colours. lol.

Lots of great pictures. All of them are great and illustrate your points so well. It's awesome to see these ideas in actual rooms. I think the idea that everyone needs a security camera system is so sad. If trends show us where we are and what we value, security cameras are a sad statement!

“Color of the Year” is just marketing. Good design is more timeless than that!

We moved to a new house this week. This morning we are ordering all new light bulbs……🤔 ‘Vivian has a great video with a helpful picture/diagram showing the light kalvins scale’. Your videos are often a design reference for me. Thank you.

To me, curves is a way to protect my body against myself. I'm so clumsy! That's the reason I want an island with rounded edges, a table with rounded edges, etc.

Trends are fun! I like taking some of them and incorporating into my eclectic mix. Thanks for this video, so helpful!

Subscribed! Your commentary is intelligent and with excellence throughout. Concealed doors in "old school" design was called a "jib door". We had two of them in a previous house incorporated in an octagonal entryway with upholstered walls fitted with jib doors that concealed closets. I also appreciate that Maximalism today does not mean hoarding, but is intentional and considered, even edited, while layered.
I double drenched our living room with BM linen white walls with BM Ladyfinger contrast trim. Its based on early California interiors in Monterey, CA that influenced me growing up. So pretty, and looks lovely with wood furniture. I added a new curved sofa and and added to my collection of artisan studio pottery. Its all the things I have always loved now combined together.

It took me a minute to find you since you changed the name of your channel. Thank you for this interesting look at 2025 interior design trends! I will always love the timeless dark wood and light-coloured paint combo. I can live with this design for a long time. Trends get old and then feel outdated, putting one on the updating treadmill.
