Whether their military really sucks or not does not matter that much, it's always better to overestimate your adversaries. Always prepare to counter the ability they claim to have.

Fun fact: when chinese peacekeepers ran away it was indian peacekeepers from INDBATT II comprised of 7th kumaon battalion came for rescue. they weeded out the milita and secured the parameter saving the people. even ethopians did far better they helped to evacuate the wounded people and returning fire when needed.

The primary issue with invading Taiwan is that they have to get to Taiwan first; any vehicles to get men there would be obvious and slow and easy targets for missiles.

Sure, they could pelt it with rockets first but that opens up Taiwan to do the same, potentially causing much more damage to china’s entire economic industry simply by bombing the coast and ports. It’s a lose-lose for China

Nice that you mentioned the South Sudan incident. The base that Chinese troops fled was liberated from rebel control by INDBATT-II under UN Mandate. INDBATT-II is formed of troops from the Indian Army's Garhwal Rifles.

China invaded Vietnam in 1979. And the Vietnamese military defeated the PLA in (30 DAYS)! Vietnam actually defeated the PLA in 16 DAYS, but it took the PLA almost two weeks to leave Vietnam.

Agree 100% with the shittok thing, my sister is 13 and was a huge shittok addict to the point my mom wanted to ban it from the house so I went through the router to block it completely and they make it Soo hard to ban too, I gotta do it every few weeks because they keep releasing new addresses to get around bans

If the PLA was truly confident they could take Taiwan 'at little or no cost' they would have done so by now.

The disturbing fact is that like 90% of the world's computer chips come from Taiwan. If China just developed a competent blue sea navy with like a lot of cruisers they could likely get a lot of political power by being able to blockade Taiwan once in awhile and sort of hold countries and companies ransom occasionally.

I really hope we're just overestimating China's capabilities as a military force, like we did with Russia when it invaded Ukraine. The war game predictions paint a grim picture for all parties, but there's a chance China's military may not even come close to causing that much devastation.

I’m a veteran and when I see china or Russian marching all I can think about is the amount of hours and days it took to train for that stupid parade. It’s such a waste of training. I’m not saying we don’t train for stuff like that it’s just mostly done in basic and maybe later if your MOS requires such like military honors, mostly it’s a secondary school or dual MOS.

I’m almost 50. And I grew up being told how Americans weren’t up to the same standards in education. And we would never be as educated and smart as people in China. Now I’m beginning to realize that the Chinese people aren’t leaps and bounds above us. That they are probably like us.
