Cricut people - the Zig 2 way glue is what you can use to make your mats sticky again. We use it all the time in this house for that (because making my own cards is awesome, but paper sheds a lot.)

I love educational videos, so this is right up my alley. I just wonder how many people are going to walk up on me and see "glue and how to use it" and just the raised eyebrows of confusion.

I use a stainless steel needle tip in lieu of a tooth pick, because I can wipe the glue off with a damp paper towel as I go (especially useful during long gluing sessions), and there's very little waste.

I also found a wood/crazy glue combo (at the no-longer-a-dollar store of all places) that works fantastic on wood, chipboard, cardstock and paper. It does not have as much water as the others, and dries quite fast, with a stronger hold than plain wood glue.

Edited to add: I appreciate so much that you stressed the point about reading the safety information and following the instructions. Someone else on YT recommends using regular crazy glue to harden chip board so that it can be sanded (it works) but they never mentioned the fumes or how harmful breathing them in is.

I am just starting out and have been watching many tutorials and thought I wish someone would make a video on what glue is best for each project. You must have read my mind. Great job! I never thought I’d sit through a 40 minute video about glue lol! I’ve had a super glue incident where I used a dot on fabric and burned me and started to smolder needless to say I haven’t done that again. Tacky glue is my favorite now and Gorilla wood glue too I use that for filling in gaps. Loved all the Disney characters to each glue.

This was a really fun video! Knowing lots about glue is my party trick 😂 Glad to find fellow glue enthusiasts.
For minis in particular, liquid cement or jewelers cement is an amazing adhesive for all kinds of materials (paper, wood, plastic, metal, etc). It's gel based, dries pretty quickly, long lasting, and you need the smallest amount. It typically comes in a small metal tube with a pinpoint applicator which makes it great for really small scale items without glue spilling out.
