One person died in a six-car pileup in the southbound lanes of I-880 Monday morning in Oakland near the Coliseum, according to the California Highway Patrol.

As a professional driver this is a very real disappointment! The lack of traffic enforcement is unreal in the Bay Area. It just isn’t cars doing 75+ but busses too on the highways! Leaving an event in Oakland or San Francisco is guarantied a collision when trying to get home.

I’m not surprised. The freeways are like race tracks. No respect at all. It’s Mad Max like you can’t believe. Hwy 80 and Hwy 880 are nightmares to drive. Two eyes are not enough anymore. We need eyes like a spider. A maniac the other day on Hwy 80 passed me on the shoulder and kept right on going. It’s a total lack of respect for the law. Laws what laws, who needs laws? Not the nuts apparently!
