The arrogance of the people in the car. Life is a gift. Respect it.

I been in cars like that as a kid, difference was I said slow down angrily and got out and took the train to the party instead.
Laughing along with it gets you killed.
When it's life and death you have to decide if being popular is as important as dying at 16

Driving is a privilege that needs to be respected and unfortunately many people young and old forget to easily they are in control of a machine that can kill

I hated being in situations like this as a teen. Begging the person to slow down. It's not a joke.

I was always the “annoying” one who would shout “slow down now” angrily and then take a cab straight home. People take chances and forget that, in case the worst happens, their family will be suffering for a lifetime.

Slow down, people!

Images like this should be used to teach young people real lessons.

She's laughing so the seriousness isn't conveyed. This should be a lesson to everyone that when you mean what you say it's should be stated.

Driving with friends is at times risky, whenever you tell someone to do something they laugh and do the absolutely opposite

They weren’t screaming. They were laughing and joking around. So sad for the families 🙏🏿😓

What's annoying is that usually the driver survives after killing all the passengers with his or her stupidity.
The only saving grace with this stupidity is they didn't kill any innocent pedestrians.

I was in a fatal car crash in 1990. I was in the back seat telling the driver to slow down. We were doing roughly 50MPH along country roads, when the driver swerved to avoid an on-coming car, clipped the curb, spun the car into a tree. My best friend who was sitting in the front passenger seat was ejected out of the front windscreen, and died moments later in the back of an ambulance.

By the time we hit the curb we were doing roughly 40MPH, so even at slower speeds you can still lose control and kill someone. Always drive with caution. You will save yourself and your passengers decades of pain, and depression.

Best thing I've heard for slowing people down as a passenger is say "I'm going to be sick"

I was a passenger in a similar crash, September 4th 1982, Flanderwell Lane Rotherham. 5 teenaged lads in a Morris Traveler 1000, 17 year old driver, not drunk, just showing off, went round a slight bend like this one too fast, oversteered, tried to correct, swerved, lost control, hit a telegraph pole and then a lamppost, 2 of my friends died, Andrew Billups aged 16, Brian Haywood aged 18 Rest In Peace

A good driver is one that makes the passenger and other road users feel safe. People don’t want to be in a car where you drive recklessly. So while you’re taking a chance on everyone’s lives while trying to look cool driving like an idiot just remember you’ll either lose your friends or a life. People will stop wanting to get in that car with you. Either listen to the message now or wait until another road death before you learn yours.

Moral of the story: Don’t drive like an idiot.

The thing is they knew what this car ride was going to be about. Don’t get in a car with some one you can’t trust.

This should be played at all the high schools...

Some kids don't get it:
A car is a DEADLY WEAPON.
In the wrong hands a young life is taken. Could be a gun, a knife, a car.
Choose carefully who you get in a car with.
Better to be an outcast than dead or have life changing injuries and chronic pain.

All 4 of my kids in turn have had the talk about driving safely, but importantly to spot bad driving also. As a teenager it takes a strong character to go against the flow and insist on being serious when others are having unsafe fun. You just hope your child can spot that time and alter an outcome. Seems like the girl in this car tried but in the moment it must be so hard to insist.

That saddens my heart. They should've listened to her when she said slow down. My condolences and prayers to all the families 👪 🙏🏻
