Sharp 55" AQUOS (LC-55LE653U) LED Smart HDTV Audio Issues

UPDATE - 2/20/2017
Since posting this the VIDEO completely went out on the TV. The unit would stay powered on from the moment it was plugged with a completely black screen with a slight back-light. Roughly every 60 second the unit would try to reboot itself by powering down and back up with the same results each time.

As this unit was under an extended warranty protection offered by Mastercard I took it for a repair estimate. It was believed that it would need a new Main Board ($130) and Power Supply ($50) although there was no guarantee that this would fix the unit. I was told that this unit was not worth repairing or even reusing parts on it as it was actually a CHEAP VIZIO screen and components in it. Not knocking VIZIO, actually replaced this unit with one of there higher end units, I was told that these were the cheapest of the cheapest VIZIO components used in this set.

Audio will stop working. Only method to fix is to unplug power from TV and plug back in. Turning TV off and back in does not fix. Leaving off for extended period does not fix. Unplugging method is only solution. Happens couple of times a week but cannot be reproduced on demand.

I have had exactly the same issue and with the same TV. I won't ever get a Sharp TV again. It is very aggravating when the sound goes off and I can't rewind the program after shutting down and unplugging the TV. I called Sharp about it a few years ago and they claimed they knew nothing about the problem. It happens most often if I pause a program. So I don't pause anymore and now it happens in other instances. Otherwise, it is a nice TV, but this issue disqualifies it from the "nice" category.

OMG I paid alot of money for the smart shape tv just 2 years ago and since the update 2 weeks ago YouTube acts up gose to blank screen I unplugged bit and plugged it back in works for little while then goses to doing it again like it's searching for internet connection just a few days ago the volume stopped working unplugged the tv and it works again how can an update cause this and how can I fix this .

Hi, my sharp 43tv, , , have sound when I join with headset, , , but without headset it has no sound, , , please help me, , , and reply soon if possible, , it has one year warranty, , , unfortunately now it's 14 th month, , , , technician ask 200$ for repairs....
