The sport of disc golf rarely gets any coverage aired by main stream television, but every once in a while there are shots that are so spectacular that ESPN / SportsCenter will include them in their top 10 plays of the week list. Here is an example of 20 or so of them that have made the cut. *Sorry, I know some snippets in this video are very low quality due to being filmed from a TV using a cell phone*

Quoting Shakespeare’s “Macbeth” during the highlight of McBeth’s -18 round is a masterclass in broadcasting/writing. So clever! That segment did so much for the sport.

I like how the condescension and passive dismissal of the sport lessens as the clips get newer. You can almost hear the disdain in their voices a couple times because they had to do a disc golf highlight on some of the older ones.

4:03 by FAR the best commentator of the compilation. He didn’t know the sport out side of maybe what the script said but he was very good with his analysis of the game and it’s stakes. That’s what a good sports commentator should sound like.
