This small cafe I went to back when I lived in NY had a tip jar and the thing is the cashiers also made the drinks so I often tipped 1-2 dollars you might know this place it’s in Scarsdale.

I used to tip the local bakery 1 or 2 dollars then I realized they don't care about getting my business or helping me in any way. The rude awakening happened at the Farmers Market, where I handed her a five dollar bill for a little loaf of bread, from arms that were full. She did not offer me to put down the produce and said, no it is $6.50 for the loaf and snickered. Nothing special about the loaf, not organic or non-gmo. I was stunned. The same loaf would be $3.50 in the grocery store. One hand washes the other. Save your money, this kind of tipping is a very bad investment.
