Katy ISD students protest new gender identity policy

Students, along with parents, gathered outside Katy ISD's central office Wednesday to protest the district's new policy on gender fluidity.

Thank goodness Katy ISD still has the sense to keep parents informed about their CHILD. When you're a minor, you're still either under your parent's authority or a ward of the state (foster care)

I support the new district policies. These youth are simply using "trans" as a fashion statement. The parents need to stop supporting this nonsense.

I think thats a great policy from the school. Parents should be kept in the loop about everything that involves their children. The only reason someone would want to hide stuff from parents is if someone is doing something wrong, mmmm kind of like the people protesting this new policy. 🤔

The saddest part about schools like this one in Katy making these restrictive gender policies is that at this school along with others is that the rates of the kids running away will go up, the percentage of parents losing their kids when the kid is forced to wait till their 18th birthday to be who they are will go up and the suicide rate especially among kids who identify as trans will also go up too. For it is their life and not the life of their parents... I would personally would rather have my kid alive and happy as their true authentic self from the inside out over having to find my kid dead on the bathroom floor with a suicide note next to their body.
