Avatar: Korra Is Still Able To Connect With Past Avatars


Whether you like or dislike The Legend of Korra, one thing is for sure, season 2 made, and is still making, people talk. This is where Korra fought with her uncle Unalaq who turned out to be quite evil, and eventually fused with the spirit of chaos Vaatu. This event created what we can call a Dark Avatar, and caused Uqalaq-Vaatu to rip out the spirit of light and peace Raava from Korra. What follows was one of the most tragic things that ever happened in the Avatar franchise: Raava got destroyed, and it seemed like all the previous Avatars’ spirits disintegrated. Korra eventually lost her connection to the past Avatars, and as it stands, never got it back. However, Raava was reborn and became one once again with Avatar Korra.

In today’s Avatar video, I will discuss how Korra could reconnect with past Avatars, while also asking the question: should she? In the first entry “The Avatar Connection and Past Mistakes,” I will explain the connection’s function, and how the current Avatar can learn from a few past Avatars’ greatest failures. Then I’ll move to the section “The Answer Lies in the Spirit World,” which will explain how Korra could eventually reconnect with Aang, and the other Avatars, by going on a journey in the Spirit World. Lastly, I will talk about how Aang willingly severed his connection with Roku at some point in time, and started to doubt the relevance of taking advice from people who lived and died centuries ago, as the world is ever changing.

Avatar is nothing without the connection to their last lives. You have to be dumb as hell to think that re-connecting is a bad idea. that's a huge portion of what made the show so interesting in the first place.

I feel that she should regain her past lives because even though the world is modernizing the principles and moral advice of the past Avatars are still relevant to her and the future avatars. Plus their wisdom of the elements and avatar state are so important. That's my 5 cents.

Exactly her chakra is just blocked just like how Aang’s was until Ozai put his back on that rock. I think her chakra is mentally and emotionally she can still connect to them I know it they should just do it in the comics. She never had time to really be in the spirit world and try to reconnect with them it was always something happening i think she’s gonna get them back because she doesn’t know Tokuga is in the spirit world after the turf wars ending so he might be the key and help her because he’s a deadly threat. Hopefully but then again we need to see her without the past lives and see how much power her and Raava had together she’s literally another Wan. Aang always wanted the spirits and humans to live and guess what Korra did so i feel like he would’ve helped because she’s fixing his mistakes. I can see her getting her past lives back Frfr but Nickelodeon not messing with the creators and the creators don’t mess with them which is sad.
