The term "Threshold" gets thrown around a lot these days, but what does it mean?
In a basic sense, it's the point at which your body creates and clears waste products in the muscles at the same rate.
Why is this important? It's the sweet spot of intensity where you can get a lot of volume of quality running in without an excessive amount of training related fatigue.
That pace looks different for everyone, but a very basic guideline is to look at how fast you can run for one hour. For most runners that is somewhere between 10k and half marathon pace.
