Some excellent stuff here but I think there is too much focus on the end text about wondering if it was a drug circle or cult. If you really pay attention throughout this episode, you can see the following from start to finish:
1. Holly talks to the gas station clerk, and as she is doing so a dude lingers near her car then speed walks away to his WHITE VAN when she goes to leave.
2. Once you drink the coffee and after you fall into sedated sleep, the guy speeds into the closet and you are confronted by Joe about complaints from this room MAKING A LOT OF WEIRD NOISES.
3. If you go to room 4 BEFORE going to sleep in room nine and look at the car in front of it you will notice the trunk is closed, but upon taking Joe to see the machine you will see how THE TRUNK IS LEFT OPEN.
4. After Joe leaves the stranger takes a flash photograph of her, knocks and tries to convince Holly to open the door, and when she refuses, he simply says, “Pretty lady….come on” and proceeds to breach into the room seconds later.
I really don’t think this was the work of a drug circle or cult, but more directly a rapist encounter if not a sex trafficking abduction attempt. I think this fits the situation more realistically as this is a 19yo women who was traveling/rooming on her own in the return trip to home, it’s really creepy/scary to think of this being the actual case as it’s a lot more realistic and probable in both story and realistic circumstances.

I think I heard this story before in other Youtube channels like Mr Nightmare or Lazy Mazquerades "Reddit motel horror story" compilation. The story is a bit same a girl going to a creepy run down motel in middle of nowhere, except the girl decide to sleep in the car as she thought the room look yucky. In the middle of the night, she saw 3 guys breaking in her supposed room from the safe distance inside her car.

Also the Hitchiking part is kind of a red herring, as Jason as he did apologized for being rude earlier on in the gas station as he admit he is not good with other people.

the cool thing is you can actually see the stalker stalking you, 2:18 the white van is his car and he tampers with your car (you can see him walking way from your car), 6:42 When you turn around you can see the stalker leaving your room and when you come back in your room the colset is open

If you notice as she walks back to the car there's someone walking away from her vehicle towards the van. Perhaps sabatoge.

When Holly is moving the logs a bear can be seen and heard walking in the distance.

The moment she wakes up sedated you can see the creeper in her room entering the closet. If you open the closet and approach you'll die.

When the manager walks you to Room 4 near the Coffee machine you'll see the stranger exit the room and walk into the woods.

I wanna tell you guys a disturbing thing-

And she passes out on her bed and when she wakes up and realises that she was sedated- 6:09 .
A lot has happened between these 3-4 hours, she was sexually assaulted by more that 1 or 2 guys you can notice a guy out the window staring at her and at the same time as holly woke a guy was hiding in her closet. This confirms the fact that why Joe the receptionist told holly not to make "Goofy Noises" - 6:20
The writer didn't mention this thing in the game because maybe he didn't wanted to mention too much of his/ her personal information!
So this was all 😢

I think either the Gas Station Clerk or Jason was in it, Jason said that the clerk has been telling that story to every guest. Also, Jason said "Big Mistake" when you first ask him about the story, which could have been either a signal to the stalker to sabotage her car or a warning to the protagonist that she got the attention of the cult now.

what i appreciate about this episode of fears to fathom is that i think it almost perfectly encapsulates the common fears of a woman. most women either have to be paying attention to their surroundings when they go out alone, especially at night, and other women don’t go out by themselves at all. it’s like a constant fear for your safety, just being outside in the public on your own. this is the worst case scenario that we fear. being by ourselves in a dark, unfamiliar area with no one we know that we can trust. while playing through it, because it’s a fears to fathom episode, you know something bad is going to happen to you. everyone you meet, you suspect that they will want to hurt you because you don’t know who they are. for me, and probably other women, you’re automatically familiar with the situation. not because you’ve had an experience exactly like this before, but being somewhere unfamiliar will make you feel unsafe, no matter the circumstances. i’m not saying men don’t ever feel this way, but at least for myself, i often fear being either physically or sexually assaulted, or even kidnapped. the terror truly begins when you realize someone is setting a trap for you by placing those logs on the road. you feel helpless and your helplessness grows even more when you realize your only option from there is to ask a stranger for help. when the man from the gas station picks you up, he’s a bit creepy. he doesn’t say anything genuinely threatening, but your heart pounds because you don’t know him and you’re in such a vulnerable position. it’s strange when he lets you out in front of the motel and he hasn’t tried to hurt you. it’s unexpected. then you meet the man at the front desk. he’s a bit weird, but at least for me, i didn’t think he would be the one to hurt me. then i saw tommy: the terrifying creepy mechanic who was in my room. i was almost 100% sure he would be the one to kill me or attempt to hurt me in the game. after being drugged, hearing photos being taken of you from outside, and the man eventually enters the room, you’re most likely expecting tommy. however, it’s not him. i think the thing that struck me the most was realizing that although some of the people were so strange, creepy, and pervy, you never even really met the man who eventually broke into your room. it’s an amazing example of the fear you feel as a woman being by herself. you expect the worst from everyone because of things that have happened to so many women, are always on guard, and you realize at the end that the one who was really coming after you wasn’t anyone you’ve spoken to. it’s really interesting. sorry, this is so long, just thought i’d share my thoughts and see if anyone felt the same

I really want to know what made this person make the decisions they did though. Just to see their thought process at the time.

In every Walkthrough I've watched, they never mentioned the "r____d" and "Murdered"
They only say "Murdered".

So is it something related to censorship, or is it a different Dialogue depending upon your Choices.
