Beware of Utility Scams

Several City of Garland commercial utility customers have received phone calls from scammers threatening utility disconnection and attempting to collect payment. These scammers may say they are calling from Garland Power & Light, and may have spoofed a City of Garland phone number to appear on the Caller ID.

Here's what to look out for so you won't be the victim of a scam.

This is great info, but why can't our government fix this problem? In this day of technology, I should think this problem could be permanently solved.
