I do that when I think someone doesn’t believe me, but only when I’m telling the truth. I don’t care if someone doesn’t believe a lie, I care if they think I’m lying when I’m not!!!

This kind of stupidity by law enforcement is exactly why you should never talk to them without a lawyer present. They decide these things, not based on evidence, but by how you "look". They decide you're guilty, then collect evidence to prove it, instead of the other way around.
Just imagine the field day a defense attorney would have if they went to court and the officer said "Well, he sounded guilty, so I arrested him." Anything you say can and will be used against you.

I'm opposite to this because I'm very detailed with my explanation and if I'm withholding info then I shut my mouth, because chances are, once you get me started, I'm a goner lol! Study your person, some of us are different.

I'm naturally verbose and use lots of words and stories - that's my communication style - and I am way way more likely to try hard with someone I love - especially if they are off base with me - or the relationship is at risk. I am also dedicated to truth and would say that's my highest value.

Can be anxiety. Also could be due to a pause word. I start most sentences with

“Honestly” or “to tell the truth” I’m not lying but at some point I learned that if I need to say something but have not formed my response yet, saying that fills enough time.
