My favorite part of Coach Walz's talking about old guy history is his shout out to the late great John McCain. When JD started lying about the Affordable Care Act and how "Trump" saved, he really though Arizona was going to accept his rewritten history. Arizonans remember that their Obamacare was under attack in Congress by Trump & his goons who only had "concepts of a plan". And that the person who truly saved affordable healthcare in America was Senator McCain, who had been terminally diagnosed with brain cancer weeks before his vote.

Walz's "nervousness" just made him more relatable to most people. Shows his humanity and that he's not a snake oil salesman.

It is infuriating for Vance to call Jan 6 peaceful when capital police were injured and people were killed, and US capital property was destroyed.

Vance was more disarming and Walz was more nervous than I expected, but it was hard not to notice Vance lying about the state of U.S. manufacturing, energy production, and trying to scapegoat legal Haitian migrants as if they were an example of illegal border crossings in the South.

How about fact checking the fact that Kamala Harris is the VICE President, not the President. The number of times Vance said "Harris's policies" was mind-blowing.

Walz is right. Vance not answering about who won the election was a "damning non-answer." Policy matters, but more fundamentally, accepting that election results are what they are is far more important.

We are in a strange place when it comes to Truth. I remember all of the research and prep I did on the High School Debate team. I remember that you had to present research if your statement was challenged, and you would lose if you were caught in lies. That was over 50 years ago. Now it seems that being able to deliver a string of lies with a calm and cool attitude wins a "Debate". How low we have fallen.

Horrible to see so many folks on social media saying they thought Vance came off as likeable. For god's sake - America needs to show Trump and Vance the door. Look into what they stand for and want to enact with Project 2025. I can't believe that any sane person would want that future for themselves and the people they love.

Political politeness aside, 4 years ago, when Trump was president, we couldn't find toilet paper and were using refrigerated trucks as morgues. We are much BETTER now than 4 years ago. ... I'm voting BLUE.💙
