Kamala Harris calls for immediate ceasefire in Gaza

United States Vice President Kamala Harris has called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and for more aid to be delivered.

Ms Harris called on Hamas to accept the current ‘deal on the table'.

Local media reports suggest Israel has walked away from a temporary truce.

The Vice President said a six-week pause in fighting is needed in order for Israel to get hostages out and for aid to get into Gaza.

The Gaza Health Ministry said more than 30,000 people have been killed by Israel’s attacks on the region.
