Kamala Harris calls for immediate ceasefire in Gaza

The US vice-president, Kamala Harris, has said there are 'no excuses' for the Israeli government not to do more to increase the flow of humanitarian aid in Gaza.
Harris, speaking on Sunday in front of the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama, where state troopers beat US civil rights marchers nearly six decades ago, called for an immediate ceasefire and urged Hamas to accept a deal to release hostages in return for a 6-week cessation of hostilities.
