Ingredients

Cake:
6 large egg yolks
98 g caster sugar or 1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup canola oil
139 g cake flour
1 t baking powder
6 egg whites
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
99 g caster sugar
coffee mixture: 1 t coffee/espresso granules 1 t cocoa powder 1 t vanilla
cashew nuts (optional) for decoration

Frosting:
watch our basic swiss meringue recipe substitute vanilla with coffee mixture recipe below:
mix together: 1 t coffee 1 t cocoa powder 3 t water 3 t coffee syrup (if not available substitute with water)

Swiss meringue buttercream recipe

197 g caster sugar
125 g egg whites
12 oz or 3 sticks salted butter
2 teaspoons vanilla extract (optional)
