Would a doctor, after seeing a patient has Plan G, feel he/she can therefore charge the excess 15%? Just curious. I appreciate your very informative videos. I turn 65 in March and am so torn on whether to go with a supplement or advantage plan.

How common is it for a doctor to charge the 15% excess charge?

I would like to add that there are a few states that disallow the 15% excess charge. The current list of those states that prohibit them is: Connecticut, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

If a hospital is listed as accepting Medicare Assignment, does that also mean any Doctor providing service in same hospital also has to accept Medicare Assignment?
