Santa Cruz Bullit | E-Mountain Bike First Impressions

We tested out the Santa Cruz Bullit to see how this long-travel e-mountain bike holds up in our backyard trails of Park City, UT. Gearheads Chris and Cam both got to spend some time on the bike, and they both found that the Bullit means business.

With mixed wheels and 170mm of travel front and rear, the Bullit is ready to take on the gnarliest terrain you can find. But it’s not just a bruiser, it also delivers some finesse. The 630wh battery delivers an impressive range for getting deep in the backcountry, and this build’s SRAM Transmission X0 groupset shifts incredibly well alongside the pedal-assist Shimano EP8 motor.

I feel like most of these “reviews” are just talking heads parroting what they think we want to hear . I mean let’s be real, who’s ever actually proven for example the larger front wheel makes for a more snappy birm railer? My Bullit PLOWS terribly Into a snappy birm until I put a 27.5 on the front as well to make it actually snappier, it’s still not great compared to my trek RAIL that ACTUALLY rails corners like a knife. 🤷‍♂️
