Agreed 100% And to continue the Voldemort as Hitler analogy, the moment someone who is “different” does something “out of place” is the moment he casts them out

This makes so much sense! He wants to be the most powerful so he is eliminating all his competitors!

JK Rowling really needs to write a prequel about Tom Riddle’s time at hogwarts

I’m ready for a Harry Potter “what if” show

I thought as much when Hagrid decked the Aurors after they hit McGonagall with four stunning spells, which he tanked the same spells.
I think this is where that wizard racism towards others comes from, fear, valid fear.

Imagine a half giant Auror with magical resistance and a giant club-wand. Wow, yeah, never thought of Hagrid in that light. It's true.

Let me just add that when Fudge goes to arrest Hagrid, the result of Tom Riddle framing Hagrid 50 years beforehand, this has everyone suspicious of Hagrid because he had Aragog and that the death of Moaning Myrtle was as a result of the Basilisk and Tom needed a way to deflect the
blame. Only when Harry defeated him and the Basilisk and only then the truth was revealed and Hagrid was cleared of all charges.

I feel like Hagrid did a non verbal spell in one of the books (he might not have, I can’t remember exactly) but if he was able to do that after just 3 years in hogwarts then imagine what he would’ve been capable of if he went to hogwarts for 7 years

Finally someone who agree with me on this. Ever since he survived the killing curse, I always believed his potential could be equally or higher than Dumbledore.

If you think deeper of it, it's absolute plausible!

Even in Harry's school-time, Hagrid has very much potential!

Let's imagine a full trained Hagrid in the battle of Hogwarts, bringing up his "cute, nice, friendly and helpful" companions:
Giants (not only his "small" brother), Giant-Spiders, Centaurs, ... and of course his absolute favourites No 1 the Dragons
I think the battle of Hogwarts might have been more brutal but also shorter with such cuty nice helpers that nobody can really understand like Hagrid?

Or he was scared that Hagrid could just crush him

Hagrid would have been powerful tho! With his strength and fully educated magic he would have been: 💥

I mean if a wandless Hagrid could take on a team of aurors, a Hagrid a wand with a full Hogwarts education and some auror training on the side, he would be a worthy adversary of Voldemort.

@movieflame may you please make a what each character would see if they drank the potion in the cave (the one Dumbledore and regulus drank) thanks!

Hagrid is naturally very good with monsters and beasts, he just might open the chamber and control the basilisk before Tom riddle does.

Had a wand that was similar to Merlin. With his giant blood he would be a devastating combatant. Then his affection for magical animals. He would be one of if not THE most powerful wizard to ever live.

If Hagrid did complete hogwarts, he’d most likely be so powerful

I've definitely been watching too much Marc Gallagher parodies where Hagrid is definitely not a good guy 😅 my first thought when I heard you mention the theory that Voldemort saw Hagrid as competition was "well yeah Hagrid wants the interdimensional time turner"
