Hey guys, welcome to the channel I'm a full time Chartered Accountant as well as a part time Real Estate agent with a background in finance, investing, budgeting and of course, real estate.

I've been on a personal mission for the last 10 years to build multiple streams of income, including both passive and active income. On this journey, I've gained a ton of domain knowledge about personal finance and investments that I would love to share.

My goal for this channel is to help you understand basic taxes, personal finance, investing, budgeting and expense management.

Hi Bassem, I bought a few shares of smartcentres. Do they get rocked in commercial real estate environment like REITS in the US? Or they have better mixed properties in their portfolio to do well?

Do you teach options? I m fairly new to stock trading, a month or so. Have been following your YT videos. I would be interested. I am a self learner usually but this involves $$$ so want to tread carefully and like some guidance.

I like all the picks, however, I am more into ETFs, so I have these stocks in several of the ETFs I hold.
*_VRE_* for Reits that include SmartCentres,
*_XEI_* for Banks and Utilities including Bell,
*_VFD_* Much like XEI. and
*_ZEB_* Canadian Banks.
These ETFs are great for Dividend Investing as they all pay dividends monthly.
Holding individual stocks is fine as well. I just like monthly dividends and these ETFs provide that.

you got to compare potato to potato. PE of BNS is 8, but we need to compare it to other banks not TSX average.

Hi Bassem,

I like the idea of selling ITM covered calls in a TFSA, but I have some concerns:
Canadian options are very illiquid, but US dividend income is taxed in a TFSA and can't be recovered with a tax credit.

Have your ever tried closing a US covered call before the dividend date an reopening it afterward to avoid the taxable dividend?
Do you know of a Canadian-listed index fund with liquid options to sell calls against in TFSA?

Thanks!

BNS is the last Canadian bank I would buy. Worst bank in Canada plus customer service is terrible. I like TD and Telus is better then Bell. Smart Center is good if you also like Walmart as most of the properties have Walmart
