AG Shapiro, Southeast PA Police Chiefs To Discuss Police Recruitment Challenges

Attorney General Josh Shapiro will meet with southeast Philadelphia region police chiefs to discuss efforts to fill police department vacancies, improve recruitment efforts, and public safety resources. The AG first called on the legislature in June 2021to set aside funding that would provide an innovative and immediate response to address this historic public safety staffing shortage, and reiterated this in January 2022. The discussion will be closed press with availability for b-roll and photos and followed by a short press conference.
