After driving for more than 25 years in various brands ranging from old Bajaj scooters to 100 cc mororcycle to gearless 110 cc scooter to my current RE bike, I feel gearless scooters are best. If one does not need to travel in highways often, need carrying space, less maintenance, value for money, mostly city rides, then scooter is the clear winner. Todays 110 cc scooters have better stability than 110 cc bikes when riding with pillion. Thanks for such a nice comparison. The lungi affair was just mind-blowing 😅.

Have tried grocery shopping on my motorcycle and it's very difficult. I guess my Himalayan isn't built for grocery shopping. Maybe a scooter with large wheels and long travel suspension would kill the competition!

I defeinitely feel that motorcycle companies in india need to be more innovative with space management, storage and practicality. By doing that they will increase their consumer base as well. S far tvs is the only one with under seat storage especially in the raider, even though its not a lot, its a step in the correct direction. But we do need more companies to innovate the practicality of motorcycles.

Forgot to mention the clunky manual gearbox vs the smooth and convenient CVT. Being a RC390 owner I just love chilling on scooters if its just inside the city, where as shifting gears continuously on 110cc motorcycle is no fun. I sold my tvs victor and bought a Jupiter ❤️

Seven years old splendor plus. I changed engine oil regularly and had to change clutch lever once because my friend dropped my bike and tyres have been changed once. Nothing else has been changed and currently odo is showing 44k kms. Chain can easily last upto 50k kms. Imagine the maintenance of scooter. Scooter life is upto 5 years or 40k kms which ever is earlier.

Can I ask a question please: I’ve been to southern India several times and noted that the roads even in cities like Chennai can be very bumpy. So why do people ride scooters with such small wheels? If you compare for example an Australia/New Zealand Honda Dio 110 to an Indian Honda Dio 110 you’ll see the South Pacific version has much larger wheels, disc brakes and ABS! Wouldn’t this be a better choice for India as larger wheels would smooth things out when there’s a rough patch of road to travel over. Plus no Saree problems that motorcycles create! 😄

Combine the milage, bigger wheels and motorcycle like suspension with gearless convenience, practicality of luggage carrying of a scooter. Best of both world's TVS XL 100😊😊
PS: Within City limits speeds upto 50 is quite decent

MOTORCYCLES are More Powerful and looks more better amd Manly.
BUT Advantages of a scooty is :
1) Lightweight..
2) Even a female
eg. Wife, Sisters, Mom etc. can Ride ( who learnt to ride).
3) Small body dimensions ( No problem in Parking.)
4). Having lots of spaces to carry purse, vegetables, Baggages etc.
5). Cheaper price.
6). Fuel economy ( Low performance = High milage )
BUT STILL ....
