Heracles almost never felt like he belonged. He was stronger than all, but he was seen as a freak for causing trouble he did not mean to. His family told him of his true origin and instructed him to go to a temple to meet his true father, so he could finally be amongst the gods of Olympus. However, this tale took a different turn. Zeus did not accept his son, who was now mortal and thus beneath his notice. Zeus did not even bother to show himself.

Heracles, feeling betrayed and alone, became a perfect tool for the God of the Underworld, Hades. How did the God of the Underworld come to know of the boy he assumed had died? Simple. During his time seeking allies to usurp Mount Olympus and seize the throne from his younger brother, Hades heard tales of a mortal far stronger than most. Through some deals, he learned the boy’s name to be Heracles—the same boy who was meant to have died during his fall to Earth.

At first, the god was enraged and ready to kill the boy. However, due to his cunning nature, Hades discovered that Zeus, ever the prideful god, had refused to help his own flesh and blood simply because Heracles was mortal. Yet the boy was still very strong. Sensing an opportunity, Hades decided to manipulate the boy instead. He promised Heracles power beyond imagination, recognition and fame beyond his wildest dreams, and, of course, revenge on the so-called father who had abandoned him. Heracles, feeling abandoned and scorned, agreed to join his uncle.

Under Hades’ tutelage, Heracles was trained to be ruthless and brutal. He was sent to slay several monsters, honing his skills to become the ultimate warrior. During this time, he grew close to a woman named Meg, who was enslaved to Hades. Their bond deepened, though it remained under the shadow of Hades’ control.

The time came for Hades to release the Titans to wage war on Olympus. Heracles wished to join the battle, but without his godly power, he could never enter Olympus. That is, unless he did one tiny thing—damn Meg to the souls of the damned. Though Hades already owned her soul, Heracles cared for her deeply. But Hades had no use for a warrior with a heart.

Meg begged Heracles to save her, but Heracles hesitated. His love for her was great, but he could not forget the lies he believed to be true, the undeserved hate he had suffered simply for existing, and, most of all, the abandonment by his father. Heracles believed he deserved his place among the gods. In the end, he turned his back on Meg and joined the Titans.

As Hades dragged Meg’s soul into the depths of the Underworld, Heracles regained his godly power. Standing before Zeus, he prepared to duel his father for the throne of Olympus.

This really feels like how this could realistically happen

"What was that silly nickname you used to call me? Jerkules? Heh, that was a funny name. You know, _I don't think I ever thanked you all for that."_

Phil:
“I thought you were gonna be the all time champ, not the all time chump.”

Herc: “And I took that personally.”

This Herc took some lessons from Poseidon and learned that ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves

It’s impressive that a few words change can shift the tone of a song

I wonder if we could have a collab where villinous Hercules and Villinous Megara get to meet and probably fight

Minor key version of the music, segwaying into the new lyrics, the artist for Lydia The Bard’s Evil Meg AND fascinating implications? Why, Mr Hyles, what a delightful Christmas gift!

Just the key change makes these lyrics so ominous. The animation is so clean, I love it all!

In this alternative universe, pain and panic report back to hades that they have failed to kill Hercules. Instead of being mad, hades instead plants seeds of doubt, rage and distrust. Moulding him into this tool that he can direct to Olympus as a distraction while he gets to business opening the titans prison

This is absolutely the AU where Hades gets off his butt and finds out Hercules is alive a lot sooner.

What if this is an AU where BOTH villain songs are happening at the same time? (Referring to Meg's Villain song by Lydia)

Like the hatred Herc had is the reason he walked away from Meg. She's taking over the underworld while he's trying to take over Olympus

...I now need more of these, and I didn't even know I needed one.

I always wondered what this particular Hercules song would sound like if it were a villain song, and you Caleb have finally answered that question. And for that I thank you, your vocals are positively astounding and brilliant as always!!!
