Butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, salt, brown sugar, sweet potatoes/yams. Granulated sugar, nutmeg. Wash yams with water to remove starch. Butter to baking dish on bottom, add yam, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, second layer of yam.

I made these for 2022 Thanksgiving after trying various other recipes each year. They always turned out ok. THIS recipe though!! It came out sooo good! I let them cook 90 min before adding butter & vanilla. They literally melt in your mouth 🤤 10/10 fa sho 👏🏽👏🏽

Hadn’t tried it in the oven your recipe guided me. Making them in the oven is soooo much easier than standing over the stove.
