Talk about memories. The summer I first heard this, I had a crush on a girl, who ended up dating someone else. A bit downhearted, I decided to go sit by myself at a picnic table with my boombox and listen to a cassette I had of some songs recorded off the radio. My roommate and a friend joined me. They tried cheering me up, but then this song and a few others came on that would not let me forget her. This was 43 summers ago, so I don't remember the exact order. But here are the songs: "Hold the Line" by Toto, "Love Takes Time" by Orleans, "We Don't Talk Anymore" by Cliff Richard and, I'm not lying, "Lonesome Loser" by Little River Band. By the end of the second song, I was no longer thinking about the girl but about how odd this was. My roommate didn't know what to say, and his buddy tried to keep from laughing. By the time that last one started, we were all laughing, and I was officially over that girl.
