Hello! Here's Drifting, the 5th (and final) track from my 1st album - Stepping Stones!
Improvising on the piano has been a lifelong hobby of mine - it never fails to put a smile on my face after a long day. After spending years experimenting with many ideas, I finally decided to write a solo piano piece, filled with calm, soothing, and peaceful vibes.
Drifting is about experimenting, searching, discovering, and trying out new ideas. It tells the story of how one takes flight and embarks on one's journey. Throughout this piece, the music gradually ascends, from low notes to higher notes.
In other words, Drifting explains how I feel now - afraid yet excited to continue embarking on my composition journey, feeling lost and not knowing what I would like to achieve, yet knowing that writing music will always be a passion of mine. Feeling ready to continue this journey, yet not knowing where it will take me. If you're experiencing something similar, I hope you can seek comfort in listening to Drifting and know that you're not alone in this lifelong journey of discovering!
