i've been a John Deere fan and collector for 25 years Gators, to walk behinds, tractors, zero turns, and I was planning this year to get one of those new S models, until I read Deere had 10 billion in profits last year, but still chose to close down factories in the US, laying off hundreds of workers, and moving operations to Mexico. heartbreaking move. The whole made in America is what the consumer loved. Too bad.

I have an older model mower. I've found if I lean forward I can move 2, 500lb boat+ the trailer.

I use my zero turn to move trailers around. One of them is a 16ft that weighs 1500 lbs. I can't even tell it's behind me. I've figured out over the last 15 yrs of ownership how to turn without tearing up the grass and can also steer with one hand, albeit a little slower. It also cut my mowing time in half. My first one was a residential unit that still runs and drives fine with over 500 hrs on it. My main mower now is a "pro-sumer" unit with serviceable ZT3200 commercial drive units and has almost 300 hrs on it. Zero turns are great.

I bought an X series tractor over a zero turn. WAY more accessories available and much better pulling and pushing power with the plows, blowers, and moving 4000+ lb trailers. I have raked 1 acre corn fields, dug driveways and gardens. Zero turns are great if you only need to mow. THATS IT. The tractors mow just as well as the zeros. Zeros are over priced IMO as well

A cart, or a spreader. The turning is really good on my s180. I bought an adapter where i can hook up a trailer ball or a hitch pin attachment. I can hook up anything as long as it is not to heavy.

It's pretty simple really...if all you do is mow get a zero turn...if you want to rip and till or grade a small area I'd recommend a good old garden tractor

You also look heaps cooler kicked back on a ride on than you do on a zero turn

I onced used my JD E130 to move a old stuck car that weighed around 3000 pounds. That 22hp engine was getting it done, it was the tires giving me problems spinning. But it got it done.

I had a lawn tractor and pulled some land scaping mulch around the house. I busted a seal in the hydraulics. I have a 40hp zero turn now that will never pull a trailer. I knock out 14 acres of mowing in 3 1/2 hours.
