It’s a reunion 27 years in the making, and it all started with a routine traffic stop. The motorist, who happened to be a retired cop, handed the New Jersey state trooper his old Piscataway, New Jersey ID. The two had no idea what they were about to discover. The driver, retired police officer Matthew Bailly, helped deliver state trooper Michael Patterson 27 years ago. “I think it was divine inspired. There's no chance this type of thing just happens by accident,” said Patterson. #InsideEdition

When I hear a story like this, it restores my faith in humanity. Such an amazing and memorable moment that will stay with this family for the rest of their lives.

Trooper Patterson has been indicted on charges of stopping a female driver in Woodbridge and then stalking her in his patrol vehicle while on duty.

Isn’t Michael Patterson the same trooper that got sentenced to prison for stalking some random girl and pulling her over a few times in one day?
