How To Edit/Import Non Gopro Video Footage Into GoPro Studio

GoPro studio importing/creating a video with non-gopro videos. I think this will work for most MOV, MKV, WMV, FLV, MP4 video files. Not sure I didn't try the other files yet.

Hi, I have GOPRO footage in .mp4 but it doesn't work. Quick show me black windows with little question mark and if I choose one and can watch or create, just show "not responding" and doesn't react. Some tips? Thanks

This is exactly what I’m trying to do! I use my GoPro for everything! But just bought a dji spark, and I couldn’t not get the usual trim in and out to work. So I’m looking into new editing software. But I will try your method tonight

You are correct, except the MOV file loses all audio during this process. No fix or workaround that I have found yet. Anyone???

I followed the conversion and saw the controls still cannot be clicked. It says 'Trimming only available for GoPro source clips'

Ahhh too bad..I tired this method for my dji spark avi file..wouldn’t work. It shows only available for GoPro files

This does not bring over the audio too, I've tried it several times. It only allows for the video to be edited.

hello i finished editing my go pro video which is only 6 minutes long, but noticed my story board goes on for about 22 hrs, so when i export it, it says its 73000gbs. do you know who to completed end the storyboard at the end of my last clip? i tried to see if i accidentally dropped a video somewhere down the storyboard, but its all clear

I'm kinda having similar issue, but not same. I shot bunch of stuff with my chroma drone in 4K. the files are MP4, but when I try to import into gopro studio does absolutely nothing. All go pro footage works fine. Has any one run into similar issue, were you guys able to resolve it? Can you suggest something, please.

I have recorded videos with an Eachine ProDVR on my Quanum googles for my drone. It produces an avi file. But when I try to bring it in as media in the Edit step on GoPro Studio I get an error message that the file is not a valid GoPro CineForm clip. I have also tried converting the file to mp4 with 'Any Video Converter' and with 'MPEG Streamclip' or an GoPro CineForm avi on 'MPEG Streamclip'. While I can bring all of these versions into GoPro Studio, the editing tabs, though not greyed out, give the message 'trimming available only for GoPro source clips'

Question, I converted videos in gopro studio, if I delete original gopro videos, will I still have the conberted bideos or I will lose them also?

I have a problem that I cannot figure out for the life of me. I have a picture on my iPhone that I emailed to myself so I can import it to go pro studio. I downloaded the picture form my gmail email. For some reason, the picture is "greyed out" and will not let me import it to go pro studio. I tried converting the image to png, mov, ect. no luck. I am stuck and cannot figure this out. Please help!
