Today I want to show you how to isolate the vascular tissue of leaves for microscopy. A fun project and with a bit of patience, a beautiful result.

I like the content and your channel. Thank you Sir. My 90y old neighbor showed me a process they used as kids: You take a dry leaf and "knock" it carefully with a brush until only the structure is left. This reqieres some try and error I guess but it works and the kids love it. But like leaf and flower pressing it seems not known or rather popular these days.... But it won't help you in case of harvest some living cells from the structure. I just wanted to ad this here to let everyone know, maybe someone has some fun with it.
You can't earn living cells from this process, but still watch the pretty result under Microscope. I found out that with new screen technology to show & tell live on computer it's very affective and fun. Esp. for older people who can't walk and go out into their Garden as they used to be...
You can bring the wonders into the living room😁😃👍

I was reading a paper that suggests a mixture of concentrated acetic acid and hydrogen peroxide will remove cell tissue within a couple of days. I don't think it requires manual abrasion of the tissue. They referred to this as Franklin's Solution.

García-Gutiérrez, E., F. Ortega-Escalona, and G. Angeles. 2020. A novel, rapid technique for clearing leaf tissues. Applications in Plant Sciences 8(9): e11391.

When I went to purchase, I used your amazon links. I'd actually put the swift sw350 into my cart but then reconsidered and finally went with the SW380--mostly because the optics on it are the black lens series (which IIRC you stated might be slightly bettter) and for, the perhaps superficial fact, that I find the lines of the device just look better. I'm very happy with the scope (and hope you still got the amazon kickback), but am still wondering why you'd included the 350 rather than the 380.
In any case, thanks again for all the great exploration and videos. Cheers!

Nice work mate. I was sad to mis your live, next time. I'm not sure about PG but Polyethylene glycol denatures DNA used in our tissue culture class and may work too for this. Keep up the good work @Microbehunter Microscopy and thanks.
