I’ve been wanting to put a baby monitor in an elderly persons room to monitor them, they have sever dementia and we worry about them not being able to remember to pull the alert cord. But even the stand alone ones have poor encryption. Finding one that can be hard wired to the internal network behind a firewall still makes us nervous. I’m guessing that an analog coax style camera and microphone if I can still find one is the securest solution.

You can get, security cameras for inside your house, that have shutters on them!

If you feel you need to do it, it needs to be closed circuit without internet access

you have a few of cameras in your house like smathphone sand laptops....
