Bouchard is using Maria to get some attention..

Bouchard seems to want to be a celebrity more than working to become a champion at her sport. At the moment, she's not much of a competitor beyond the first round of any tournament. She reminds me of Anna Kournikova. A beautiful woman that always has something to say but is useless on the court where it counts.

...and she's out in the first round in straight sets.

Sounds like a woman who fell in the rankings and is trying to get back in the news.

Shut up and win. Someday you will know what it is like to be "forgiven". Actually Maria was NOT forgiven rather PAID for her violation, all according to the rules. She appealed and got the sentence reduced, but still paid a price. Until you can win I'd advise you to stick to PLAYING and learn to DEMONSTRATE that your opinion matters. One Grand Slam win does not a career make.

And RawLu save your "Cut and paste" response. Be original and stop being lazy.

Bouchard: I am not as pretty as her, and I don' t play tennis as well either, so screw it, she shouldn't be allowed to play.

"She doesn't deserve a wild card she's a cheater" "deserves lifetime ban" blah blah blah but hey I haven't won a match since January and I deserve a spot right? Shut your yap and actually work on your own game the fact you are playing tier 2 ITF events to "get your groove back" eliminates you from having an opinion on a legend and someone you called an idol not long ago, whose idea was it to interview her anyway? Oh wait she is one of few attractive tennis players so photogenic=interview regardless of standing especially in a sport like women's tennis.

Mediocre player, trying to stay relevant by being "outspoken and controversial".

Well she is right and she is honest. But you just can do nothing about it. Sharapova's presence means money, millions of dollar cash; audience which is what WTA need; sponsors, too. Everything is based on finance and people like Sharapova the super stars exactly mean money.

It was very "important" opinion about Maria.
I've noticed that those who haven't any titles are trying to blame Maria on cheating, while she really admitted her mistake and paid for it.

As a Canadian and Montrealer, I feel like Bouchard needs to shut up and raise her game before passing judgment on a player the level of Sharapova. Personally, I never felt Bouchard being fully commited to the sport, she's more into social media and other crap.

Many people think that Sharapova paid for her mistake, but she still didn't come clean. She lied through her teeth at the press conference saying that her meldonium was for a rhythm disorder and was for her history of diabetes, when in reality she solely took meldonium as a performance enhancer. Even if she has rhythm disorder and diabetes (which is impossible as she's a health 20's something year old athlete), meldonium isn't even a legitimate drug.

When this girl wins a match again, then maybe someone would be interested in anything she says.

Sharapova has served her suspension. The board said she was not a doper so shoudl this not be the end to all this suspension time. She is a good tennis player and should not be able to continue her career. I am sure if this was a male tennis player there would be none of this hu ha over whether he can come back, he would be allowed to come bacj and nothing more said about him. So yes Sharapova should be allowed to play and as it has prved a large number of her sponsers have stayed by her side and the WDA has allowed her to carry on her career. I hope that she has several years left to play.

Bouchard and Sharapova are very similar. Neither have won a match in over a year.
